What is sea moss?

Sea moss also called irish sea moss aka chondrus crispus / gracilaria is a sea plant derived from red algae. Sea moss is a super food (seaweed) from the sea.

It has 92+ minerals and the body is made up of 102. Sea moss isrich in calcium, magnesium, chromium, sulfur compounds, protein, iodine, bromine, selenium, pectin, manganese, potassium, iron, zinc, b-vitamins and vitamin c.

What are the different ways to consume sea moss?

Sea moss is an amazing nutritionally packed replacement for thickening agents and binders such as soy lecithin, gelatine, corn starch, and egg yolks. You can use sea moss in your smoothies, perfect for raw dessert recipes such as raw cheesecakes, whipped cream, mousse, non-dairy ice cream, sauces, dressings,
jams, puddings, and chutneys. It can be added to sous or broths. It can be used in herbal teas and juices. Some people eat it with salads and number recommend way to consume is in a soomthie or shake.

How is sea moss gel kept fresh during shipping?

We use commercial cold packing protocols that includes high-grade leak-proof gel packs and thermal packing that allows your sea moss gel to maintain an appropriate temperature during transit for 72 hours minimum up to 96 hours in some cases. Gel could be warm upon arrival and more water like but packaging prevents gel from rising above a certain temperature.  As an
additional protocol we prepare with key limes that contain natural citric acid. This has been tested and prevents spoilage if it does not exceed the 9 hour window. Refrigerate immediately upon arrival and gel will thicken
back to original state. Spoilage indicators would be green or mold with a very foul odor.

I am unable to see my expiration date on label, how do i tell when it is bad?

Shelf life is 30 days. We always make sea moss within 3 days of sending and it take to 3 days to arrive. Give a 6 day window for worse case. To be safe add 24 days to the date you received to get your expiration date. Signs
of spoilage would be green or black mold and a very foul odor. 

How long is sea moss good for in every form?

Sea moss gel can last 4 weeks in the fridge. Always monitor for any signs of spoilage after week 4.

How does sea moss taste?

Each flavor that is infused will remind you of cinnamon and honey, ginger, turmeric and elderberry.the sea moss not infused wont really have a flavor profile but you will taste a hint of lime. Even though this product is from the ocean we here at mossibilities have done a great job of removing that ocean smell and taste. The texture is similar to a creamy apple sauce. Your sea moss will be ready to add to your delicious recipes.

How much and when do i need to take?

1 to 2 teaspoons a day for 3-4 days for starters to see how your system responds. After that, you can do 1 to 2 tablespoon. You can increase in time. If you choose to do more while fighting an infection or virus you can., we suggest taking in the morning as sea moss may increase your energy.

 How long before i start to see and feel results of taking sea moss?

Is sea moss safe for pregnant women, babies or children?

We are not physicians and can not advise on this. We can say that there are some holistic mothers who use sea moss throughout and after their pregnancy and give to their babies. Also, sea moss has been given to younger children by our
customers and no issues have been reported.if you are allergic to iodine, it is recommended that it not be consumed.
